Some days

Last weekend Lance won a record sixth Tour, Lucie gave birth to Milo, an old family friend was fatally mauled by a 12-foot alligator, and my nephew called.

The nephew calling doesn’t sound like much, but he and his sister were adopted away from the family 15 years ago. We haven’t known anything about them, and we never expected to be able to find them.

He’s now 17 years old, just graduated from high school, and is on his way to college. It took a lot of courage for him to find us. My family just got bigger by two.
